Many argue that movies replaced books as a medium for epic tales just as books replaced the oral traditions of ancient times. Movies such as star wars replaced the written legends of Beowulf and the odyssey could our generations epic tales be told by the medium of games such as dragon age assassins creed and mass effectWill video games become the medium of the future for epic literature ?
I believe that great literature is to some extent being shoved aside by video games. Although video games are not bad, in my opinion, books will increasingly have to share the spotlight with video games. After all, to a young person, why hear about a story when you can be in it?
