Isn't Pokemon going against the beliefs of theists?

(This is very interesting, so stick with me)

Okay, lets not get hyped, I know this sounds ridiculous, but I keep thinking about it and thought I would share it with you guys n' gals:

''Pokemon'' is an anime tv show featuring creatures known as Pokemon having supernatural powers.

Now, let us dig deep:

1. In Pokemon, most of the Pokemon evolve, albeit within a short time (=few months). They have either two or three stages of evolution. A Pokemon at its third or second stage is sometimes enormously different from how was in the first stage.

For example, Magikarp is a small useless fish-like Pokemon. It evolves into a ferocious sea serpeart/dragon of towering length.

So, Pokemon more or less goes along with the Theory of Evolution.

2.In Pokemon, the beginning of the universe is narrated by a legend, which goes as follows : ''In the beginning, there was only a churning turmoil of chaos. At the heart of the chaos, where all thing becomes one, comes the ''One''.

And from itself, the original one formed two beings (Pokemon named Dialga and Palkia). Time began to spin, and space began to expand.

Then, the original ''One'' separated into three more beings (Three Pokemon, forgot the names).

Matter was formed by way of communion between the first two (Dialga and Palkia), and spirit was born by way of communion with the next three.

Our world was born, and the original ''One'' fell into a deep sleep."

Although I know this legend is ridiculous, it conveniently goes the need of existence of God, or His role in the creation of the universe.

Pokemon has a history of angering religious conservatives. And this show is primarily watched by kids (although I still watch it and love it at the age of 16......)

So, whats your take on this?Isn't Pokemon going against the beliefs of theists?
uh....you know a lot about pokemon huh...
YOU SEE, it's they same idea. Just goes to show you that religion is fiction too. It's all just a way to explain what we don't understand/Isn't Pokemon going against the beliefs of theists?
Very impressive analysis, Muhammad! ))
Lol...I forgot the start of your question when I got to the bottom but that might be cause I'm drunk. You have a point in a funny sort of irrelevant way. Isn't Pokemon going against the beliefs of theists?
You, my friend, have too much time on your hands... :P
Seriously. I'm surprised no one's tried to ban it in the US for teaching their kids evolution, I mean, as long as they claim Harry Potter teaches them witchcraft.
Pika-pika-CHHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!…
Glad to see all your reseach, hey what about Digimon?
If someone seriously thinks Pokeman is evil then they have a bigger problem than some of the Harry Potter hating people out there. Thats just utterly ridiculous.

Barney however, he gives me the creeps.
Isn't Pokemon a kids cartoon? Shouldn't Pokemon stay a kids cartoon?

Don't get me wrong, I worshiped Pokemon in my day. My take on it now is that IT'S A KIDS CARTOON!
Man i used to love that show when i was 7 but you got a good point
Like quite a few other concepts in film and TV. They appear to be innocent yet they lay out an ideology that often goes against Theist teaching.

Essentially advertising for the young confused mind.

You will find the same twist on reality in TV Soap Operas where the program makers condense many twists of human experience into a small group of characters. Then they argue that they represent reality. Or so called 'reality TV' shows where the viewer is led to believe they are seeing people who are typically representative of other young people. Whilst some may be many of them are not.

These distorted images are presented all over the world so the average American Evangelist is portrayed as a weird money grabbing fake, Coronation Street represents Manchester [which few Mancunians would accept other than the fans!] Likewise EastEnders 'represents' London. I'm sure we could come up with many more. Oh of course we are starting to see more and more Muslims falsely represented too.

It must be very confusing for the average first time visitor to the UK landing in London or Manchester.
