My idea for a fantasy story? What do you think?

I am writing a story called Skye's Island, and i've been pondering on a plot for AGES! I finally stumbled on one, with much inspiration from the legend of zelda, how to train your dragon, and my own twists and turns of darkness thrown in. Here is the plot.





I had an idea about a school located on a floating island in the sky. The people there believe that the world beneath the clouds is dangerous, and they fear almost everything, except for one boy named Eldin. When he was younger, he foun a Sora Dragon's egg, the last of it鈥檚 species, and raised it on his own, so he isn't afraid of dragons like th rest of the kingdom after they endured the great dragon devastation, which nearly destroyed it. He soon finds out that his classmate and also best childhood friend Allie is the princess of Altar (the kingdom of the sky) and was sent there by her father so she could be safe from Gharatrox, who wishes to destroy the Altar royal family so he can gain the power of the Altar seal, which lies in the spirits of Allie. Allie trusts Eldin with the secret, but Eldin has to trust Allie with the secret of his dragon. As they both find trust in eachother, they fall in love. But Ilex (one of the standoffish characters) finds out about Eldin's secret and tells the headmaster, and he is expelled from the kingdom until he gets rid of it. Allie leaves the school too as she doesn't want Eldin to be alone, but this exposes her to Gharatrox and she is sealed in the dark realm below the earth. Eldin is forced to go in pursuit of her before midnight on 11/11/11 or else her soul will forever be in the hands of Gharatrox, where he will use the Altar seal to coat the world in darkness.



Is there anything you think I should add, take away, or change? Give me your full opinion on the story and what I should change (if you can think of something)

I think it's pretty good! But one thing, the plot was really working up until the point Eldin has to go in pursuit of Allie. I mean, throw some romance in there if you want but change the ending. Other than that it is good. :)My idea for a fantasy story? What do you think?
